Wegovy (semaglutide) solution for injection in pre-filled pen

Pharmacology: GLP-1 receptor agonist. Reduces appetite and energy intake via central appetite regulation.

Licensed indications: Weight management (weight loss and maintenance), as an adjunct to a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, in:

Adults with initial BMI ≥30 kg/m², or ≥27 to <30 kg/m² with at least one weight-related comorbidity

Administration: subcutaneous injection into abdomen, thigh or upper arm. Any time of day, with or without food. Missed dose: give within 5 days, otherwise skip. Day may be changed if doses are more than 72 hours apart.

Report adverse reactions via the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.

Before first use, store in a refrigerator (2–8 °C), away from the cooling element. Do not freeze. Keep the pen cap on to protect from light. After first use, store below 30 °C or in a refrigerator for 6 weeks.
