Q:What is Sylton Connect?
A: Sylton Connect is our online platform that offers products and services that
connect devices, users and shops together in the cloud. Sylton Safe is the first
product that we are launching within the Sylton Connect platform. In the future
there will be more services released within Sylton Connect where we make
storing, sharing and updating client and session information more easy and
secure
Q:How can I get Sylton Safe?
A: Sylton Safe 300GB comes as a 2 year Free gift with any new Observ 320 and
520x. If you already have an Observ 320 or 520x Sylton Safe 300GB will be
provided as a 2 year Free gift to you too. You can activate Sylton Safe in the 320
or 520x app on your iPad. When you have paired the device with the app a popup
appears that will allow you to claim your Sylton Safe gift following the
instructions provided. Please make sure though that you are logged in with the
company in which you like to use this service. After claiming free cloud this
service will be linked to your company and your client sessions and data on
your Ipad will be uploaded in the cloud
Q:Can I still use the app if I do not want to use Sylton Safe?
A:There is no obligation to use Sylton Safe or Sylton Connect with your Observ.
We provide this as a service to assure a safe way to store and share your data
within our own maintained cloud solution. The Observ 320 and 520x app will
still work and store all data on the iPad you’ve synchronised with the device
Q:How does Sylton Safe ensure the security of the data in the cloud?
A:We are using the latest 128-bit and 256-bit encryption technologies with end-to-
end encryption. This means your data is not only encrypted while in the
cloud but also on your iPad and during transportation. Furthermore each user
has an unique key, so if one key in any way gets compromised, your data will still
be safe. Finally, we do not store your password as is. Your password is converted
into a 128-bit code so your data can only be accessed by using your personal
password on your account and not with a retrieved 128-bit code.
Q:How does Sylton Safe ensure a good speed / customer experience?
A:To ensure the best speed and user experience we have decided to work with 4
data center locations all over the world. When setting up your Sylton Safe
account, you can select the data center most beneficial to you. For users in Europe and Africa our data center in Frankfurt will be
the best option.
Q:Can I store my data in other cloud services?
A:To avoid the risk of data corruption and to make sure your data is kept safe and
secure according to the legislation of the GDPR and other privacy laws, it is no
longer possible to store your data in other cloud services like iCloud and
Dropbox to avoid the risk of data corruption. We are If it would be possible to
store data on 3rd party storage services we would not able to create a full audit
trail if we allow data to be stored outside of our Sylton Safe cloud. By giving you
the possibility to store your data in our own cloud, we can keep up with the
latest safety and encryption technologies.
Q: How can I share my client sessions with other therapists working in the same
company?
A: This has been made really easy. Sylton Safe automatically uploads all session
data to the cloud making this data available for the other users working in the
same company. Just search for the specific client information in the app and
synchronize it with your own iPad. This way, you can work together with all
available session data in your clinic and make best use of everybody’s expertise
and strengths. For example:
- Skin Therapist A takes care of the capture and client registration.
- Skin therapist B downloads the session data from the cloud and takes care of
the consult
- Skin therapist C downloads the session data from the cloud and takes care of
the treatment and adds additional products for aftercare to the session data.
Q:How do I set up the app for multiple users or multiple branches?
A:When creating a company account in the app, you can invite other users to
your company who can then register to your company and access all available
data stored in the Sylton Safe cloud. Please only share your data by inviting
other colleagues from your company account. As data can not be shared
in between different company accounts for safety reasons, it is not possible to
move data from one company account to another. So if you work with multiple
branches, make use of just one company account.
Q:Will Sylton Safe stay free after the gift period?
A:You can keep using Sylton Safe after the gift period of two years has expired.

Q:How reliable is Sylton Safe?
A:To offer our customers the highest reliability we have decided to work with
Amazon Web Services. Amazon Web Services has been named 10 consecutive
years on a row as the leader in cloud infrastructure by Gartner outperforming
world-class companies like Microsoft, Google, Alibaba Cloud, Oracle, IBM and
Tencent Cloud on their ability to execute and completion of vision.
Q: How is the data protected from catastrophic failures such earthquakes, fires,
flooding, terrorist attacks etc.?
A: All data is stored in 3 different data center locations. If one location is hit by a
catastrophic failure the data is still available in the other 2 locations.
Q:Does Sylton Safe comply with the latest privacy regulations?
A:We have designed Sylton Safe as such that it allows the users to be GDPR
compliant. GDPR is the European privacy regulation that is considered the
most strict regulation. HIPAA, the US privacy regulation, has been updated
multiple times since it was issued in 1996 and will catch up with GDPR soon.
The same applies to the privacy regulations in many other countries. Key
aspects that make Sylton Safe GDPR compliant are:
- The end-to-end data encryption
- And the full audit trail. In case of a data breach we can see exactly who has
accessed this data
Q: For what period of time do clients keep access to their sessions in the cloud
after their cloud membership is finished?
A: They can download all the data from the Sylton Safe cloud onto their iPad, until
3 months after they have terminated their subscription
Q:Is it possible to join the sessions of two companies in the cloud?
A:No, this is not possible. If therapists in different companies wish to have access to
the same data they need to set this up as such from the start. In order to do this
one person has to set up the company in the app and invite all therapists that
must have access to the data.
Q: Can the Sylton Safe subscription and sessions be transferred to another
company?
A: No, after claiming free cloud the subscription and sessions can not be
transferred to another company. So please make sure when you activate Sylton
Safe that you link it to the correct company.
Q:What is the price of Sylton Safe?

Q: Will clients be able to move images and data across different accounts? For
instance if they change their email address and set up a new account?
A: The method to achieve this is to register a new user to the same company. This
user will have access to the same data and from there on you can choose to
remove the user with the old email address
Q:How many consultations will this approximately be for our clients 300GB?
A:300 GB translates roughly to 10.000 sessions with an average of 3 viewing
angles. This should suffice for even the larger clinics.
