About the role:

We are seeking a driven and dynamic Senior Finance Manager to join and support a fast-paced finance function. Driving and delivering efficiencies within the financial reporting side of the business. This is a high-profile role within our finance team with great exposure to the Executive team of the business. You will be responsible for managing the budgeting, forecasting, and preparing monthly analysis of our Group’s performance to provide support and insight to senior management.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and evolve internal financial reporting including month end board packs, KPI reporting framework and commercial analysis.

• Review and manage the month-end process and year end processes.

• Review and manage the forecast, budgeting and strategic planning processes.

• Perform ‘deep dive’ analysis to understand the revenue and cost drivers and identify risks and opportunities.

• Prepare information for the year end audit and manage the auditor relationship.

• Prepare financial information and statutory filings as required by internal and external stakeholders e.g. HMRC, VAT, board, and shareholders,

• Business partner various departments across the business to support delivery against budget, delivery of company strategy, deliver on ad-hoc analysis, provide guidance and challenge.

• Identify and manage risks and opportunities as they present – in terms of efficiencies across the business so that costs are well understood and managed across the business.

• Support work on cashflow, risk, tax, treasury, strategy and KPI metrics for finance

• Deputising for the Head of Finance as required, from time to time.

• Manage, train and review work performed by the management accountants and other members of the team to ensure quality of output.

• Assist Head of Finance and other senior members of the finance team on other items, as requested from time to time.

What we need from you:

Essential

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) several years PQE

• A strong technical background in financial control and processes

• Audit experience

• Very strong IT skills

• Strong analytical capabilities, comfortable manipulating data to provide accurate and insightful reporting.

• Excellent communicator, able to business partner and is confident presenting business cases to Senior Management

Desirable

• Systems - Intact IQ use, Power BI, Excel formula

• Experience in managing at least 1 direct report.
